Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, Africa, is a wild kingdom. In the vastness of the distant savannah, a million and a half gnus move across the plain like a rolling wave. It is an awe-inspiring sight.
Zoologist Markus Borner has worked here for over 40 years. He has flown rhinoceroses by plane, and has fought to reroute roads. His activities haven't been limited to those of a zoologist.
He continues to work with people in Tanzania to preserve this wonderful gift of nature for the future.
